Before I got here

If you want to buy a guidebook in English you can find plenty in the bookshops near Saint Michel metro Station. Look for Gibert Jeune and Gibert Joseph, the staff should speak English too if you need some advice on which to choose. Plus it’s in the middle of the Latin Quarter, so you will have plenty to look at nearby, be it the ruins of Cluny, the Sorbonne or the Ile de la Cité with Notre Dame. Oh and if you have some time, take the RER to go to Versailles. It is especially lovely in this season!
