John Winchester has a gravestone dedicated to him in the upcoming MMORPG Guild Wars 2.
Oh, so I see that they are not only fans of Doctor Who, but of Supernatural as well? XD
Didn’t explore much of the human starting zone, but would love to go there. Great article and yeah, definitely makes me think of the Haunted Mansion at Walt Disney World!
Loved the latest Eurogamer.uk article “Guild Wars 2 : Inside Stories”! It’s full of funny and moving testimonies from the Arena Net staff, go read it!!
But you know what I loved even more?
First, what appears to be the prototypes for Charrlie, our favorite Rytlock plush toy :

Second : see these little Eiffel towers, each themed after one of the playable races? Well, not to boast, but my best friend and I made them last September for the wonderful people of Arena Net. We spent hours designing and making them, so it’s just FANTASTIC to see that they have kept them!!

On another picture, you could see fanmail, and really, it’s so nice to see that we fans do count!
I like this video tour of Divinity’s Reach, the human capital city in our game, because Mike B (aka Fony) of the BFF Report gives a shout out to the ambient voiced conversations firing off around him, right away. His reaction is exactly the one that our writing team is trying for, feeling immersed in a living world.
I worked for awhile on this city, almost two years ago, but most of the credit for the city goes to Darrin Claypool, Jesse Christensen, and the rest of our incredible environment team, not to mention designer Kim Kirsch. I did the confetti, though (sometimes I think that might be the last bit of my art that makes it into the final game, after all the revisions)!
Aaaaah, Divinity’s Reach… I spent a whole cession during Paris Gamesweek visiting the city, but it is so vast and beautiful and ALIVE. And it is true that the atmosphere is not the result of the beautiful art only (though it is astounding and very detailed) but also of the sounds that really make it real.
You can hear children running, playing and giggling, citizens discussing the lastest news, ladies chattering about the market… It makes it all that much more immersing!

So yeah, I totally watched their vid over Totalbiscuit even though they sounded quite like GW2 noobs cause :
1. They were Brits. And yeah, British accents and expressions… Blimey!
2. They were so funny! Their reactions to Issormir had me giggling XD
So, you see, I did a ranger cosplay last summer for the Gamescom, and I managed to do a pretty convincing Black Widow by customising some RV spider. It was biiiiig, like bigger than my hand, which seemed totally big enough.
Now watch the size of this baby in the video here… and it’s a JUVENILE Black Widow. How BIG are the adults?!

I think I’m gonna go Pokemon crazy as soon as the game is out… XD
